Description and Requirements

About Our Team 
This position is for a CSP (Cloud Service Provider) BOM EC Engineer in the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). This is an exciting role in the CSP Development organization that has a strong focus to be the #1 trusted IT Partner in the Data Center. ISG is innovating the future-defined data center, today. From the simplest to the most complex IT environments for all types of workloads, our servers, storage, networking and solutions help maximize the potential of data centers.


What You'll Do
The BOM EC Engineer will work on Customer BOM/EC enablement including data releases, IT system enablement, EC releases and label EC management.

Additionally, this role will also require end-to-end data enablement with customers and Lenovo's internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing data enablement.

• Work with global teams to define shipment features and specs

• Build Product CTO BOM and MECH.BOM correctly

• Create BOM/EC data release plan and track data readiness

• Closely work with related functional teams to ensure E2E data accuracy

• Resolve BOM/EC issues


Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline

• 5+ years BOM/EC working experience in server and hardware development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in direct customer engagements

• Masters degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus

• Hyperscale/Cloud experience a plus

• Strong MS Excel experience, formulas, data manipulation, VBA

• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation

• Ability to interface with Lenovo and customer

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and have the autonomy to make decisions

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

• Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia
