Description and Requirements

Key Objectives of the position:

  • Partnering with Business: Leveraging actionable insights to drive top line revenue growth in a sustainable and profitable way;
  • FP&A reporting:  Lead the monthly forecasting, deep dive financial analysis, and deliver high quality forecasts in collaboration with CAP teams; Respond to adhoc requests; Maximize potential of the business by working effectively beyond geographies and reporting lines; Engage directly with peers in CAP and in other regions;
  • Compliance: Set the tone from the Top in guiding the business through a transformational period while ensuring that financial controls & compliance are in place;
  • Partner with the business through a transformational period ensuring that relevant financial controls are in place.

 Main responsibilities:

 Reporting:

  • Accurate reporting of segment financials for the CAP E-Commerce business
  • Ensure monthly forecast / budget submission are executed as per the Finance calendar for the respective segments.
  • Support/Coordinate and prepare with the Leadership team the MBR Business reviews.
  • Monthly financial close and financial reporting for the segment
  • Volume, revenue, gross profit
  • BMC and Gross Profit

 Headcount and expense

  • Reporting, forecasting and analysis of financial performance including revenue, GTN and BMC cost drivers at the market segment level
  • Analyzing impact of FX hedging and Cost Credits
  • Work with the COE team to understand the Balance Sheet with key focus on Working Capital, GTN accruals and Inventory Ageing.
  • Support the Quarterly financial target-setting, at the market segment level, including sales quotas.
  • Provide input to the sales commission process with Sales Operations, including measurement of attainment by individuals

 Compliance

  • Key liaison with external advisors, including auditors and tax advisors
  • Key liaison with Lenovo Treasury, including credit management and currency hedging.
  • Maintaining a strong business controls posture, including the monitoring of control point testing, ensuring that all process documentation is up to date, liaising with internal audit and running the Quarterly Disclosure Certification process
  • Preparing for and participating in the weekly BMS (Business Management System)

 Systems and Transformation

  • Leverage group platforms and tools for collaboration & analytics

 Requirements:

  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills and ability to work across cultures with a COE team offshore.
  • Ability to drive projects from end to end
  • Ability to learn with high degree of flexibility to adapt quickly
  • Ability to handle complex / ambiguous tasks
  • Ability to look at the details as well as the bigger picture
  • Ability to drive projects from end to end
  • Excellence with Excel, Financial Systems and PowerPoint with the ability to present and communicate the right message.

 Previous experience needed:

  • Total work experience of 7+ yrs PQE with experience in IT/Telco in Finance FP&A, Control or Strategy.

Expert knowledge in the following:

  • Financial planning, analysis and reporting
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong communication/interpersonal Skills with ability to listen
  • Ability to work with teams across functions/cultures
  • Self motivated with ability to own and close issues with consensus
  • Ability to Interact and communicate effectively  with the Senior Leadership team
  • Ability to look at the details as well as the bigger picture
  • Desirable - experience with IT/Telco consumer segment

 System Skills

  • Experience with SAP / BPC preferred

 Language:

  • English Proficiency - Proficient/Business Standard; Have ability in one other Asian language would be advantageous (Bahasa Malay/Indo, Thai, Korean or Chinese)
