Description and Requirements

  • Participate Server EPEAT registration
  • Cross function team collaboration to grasp the documentation evidence internally from function teams to hit criterion points
  • Work with Corporate team on Env. document compilation as part of product delivery tracking item
  • Audit by 3rd party authority to deliver the required documents in desk review. Coordinate with function teams on document fulfillment.
  • Document an EPEAT RFQ to circle EPEAT requirement into product design.
  • Manage the granted points for EPEAT registration.
  • Pre-market verification with 3rd party authority on each product.
  • Deliver the required information on public EPEAT website
  • Post-registry maintenance with product nature update
  • Monitor and track EPEAT standard update.  Guide internal stakeholder with new standard requirements, and ensure registered products still valid.
  • Provide education to function stakeholder and external suppliers on EPEAT requirements.
  • In post-market verification activity, support ongoing audits to co-work with CAB and GEC for maintaining records for verification round (audit), prepare verification documentation and ask for any update if there were any unconformity items.
  • Maintain registry listing accuracy (remove products when EOL, update products, update countries, etc.)
  • Conduct required annual reporting to EPEAT (example of the required reporting is sales volumes by registered model for each level of EPEAT rating and country where registered).
  • Annual fee payment to GEC and CAB.  Ensure business operation is aware of EPEAT expense which will be changed based on new GEC formula and business revenue.
  • Product Environmental certificates
  • Cowork with ODM vendor and test house on energy related certificates for server product, ex: Energy star for computing server, EU Energy related Product, Japan JESL, and China CECP/ CELP.
  • Product material/ substance compliance on EU RoHS and REACH Prop.65, BSMI RoHS and similar regulations.
  • Product chemical emission test and certificate. Work with 3rd party test house on Volatile Organic Compound validation.

Desirable qualifications:
  • Master degree in Chemical or Electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Server product design, system structure as well as specific Environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Experience on EPEAT and TCO registry for PC or other ITE products (Server is highly preferred). Hand on experience on criteria fulfillment, registry process and audit inspection.
  • Familiarity with other compliance stuff, ex: EMC/ Safety/ RF design and regulatory requirements.
