Description and Requirements

We are hiring a Summer 2023 Intern to join our team as a Customer Quality Engineer. This position offers a broad range of lab-based experience inside ThinkPad and Accessories Product Engineering. This is a hands-on position that will expand your understanding of PC hardware, subsystems, accessories/option, and the Windows OS & drivers. In addition, you will be working with a global team of technology experts within one of the world's leading technology firms.

Detailed Responsibilities:

·       Evaluating emerging technology from both a business, technical, and user perspective

·       Work with Product Engineers on problem reproduction and debug

·       Functional testing on various laptops, accessories, docks, IoT devices, and other portable devices

·       Documenting test results and findings based on the analysis performed in the lab

·       Assisting engineers with typical laboratory work tasks including break/fix, asset management, measurements (voltage, thermal, acoustic, etc), shipping, etc

·       Some customer field work with the engineers may be a possibility

Position Requirements:

·       Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science

·       Hobbyist or professional experience with PC assembly/repair preferred

·       Self-motivated

·       Good communication skills

·       Good organizational skills

·       Willingness to learn and ask questions

·       Ability to work onsite at the Morrisville, NC location
