Description and Requirements



The Lenovo Infrastructure Software Development team is seeking for a DevOps Architect to contribute to our efforts of building and evolving the Management as a Service (MaaS) solution of Lenovo.
In this role, you will be working in a global team, collaborating with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers, architects, and development teams.
This role is highly technical and creative and the ideal candidate will be expected to participate and lead the innovation going into Lenovo’s technology as we drive the industry to new heights.


In this position you will:

  • Help transform architectural thinking from traditional on-premises hosted service to public cloud hosting with increased scalability, flexibility, security, and cost-effectiveness
  • Work with other architects and engineers to design, develop and coordinate highly available, scalable, and highly performant service
  • Coordinate with Operational and Security functions to ensure the adherence to policies defined by the Security team
  • Drive the change effectively by articulating the business case in front of multiple teams and stakeholders, creating proof of concepts when required, and leading the implementation
  • Evangelize new technologies – emerging, disruptive, and new methods of architecture design and integration
  • Produce detailed documentation on systems design and implementation
  • Analyzing any setbacks or shortcomings in the operations and addressing them by leading appropriate actions.
  • Simplifying the development process and operations
  • Setting up a continuous build environment to boost software development
  • Analyzing and streamlining the existing DevOps practices
  • Offer guidance to DevOps and development teams


Apply if you have:

  • 6+ years working in the IT industry
  • 1+ years in a similar role (Architect)
  • Bachelor's degree (or relevant work experience)
  • Significant experience working with public/private cloud platforms; One of Azure or GCP would be a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of API, serverless, containerization, and automation technologies/strategies
  • Familiar with cloud-native service design requirements
  • Enterprise experience in the design and delivery of cloud-ready SaaS services into public cloud environments
  • Experience managing monitoring, logging, workflow escalation, etc
  • Experience and best practices knowledge of CI/CD systems
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and customer services skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying levels of technical experience from engineers to VP level
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
  • Strong written communication skills including publishing guidelines, standards, and whitepapers

Would be considered a plus:

Experience in software development using one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Python, Linux Shell, Golang, and Groovy.


In this position, you will be part of a global team and will be reporting to the local ISG Senior Software Manager.
