The Lenovo Global ESG team is presently hiring an ESG Reporting Manager. This role can be remote and will report to the Director Global ESG who is based in Morrisville, North Carolina. The ESG Reporting Manager will be responsible for Lenovo’s ESG reporting in accordance with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) and GRI requirements, as well as other ESG reporting and communications deliverables. This role will manage Lenovo’s participation in key ESG surveys. This role requires strong project management skills and must collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to ensure the timely and successful delivery of key ESG reporting deliverables in support of Lenovo’s overall ESG strategy. They will work with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other business teams to develop, enhance, and deliver ESG reporting content.
In this role you will be responsible for the creation and management of project plans with long and short-term timelines and with an understanding of prioritizing resources and tasks. They will clearly communicate project status, timelines, deliverables, goals, and expectations to their management and other internal stakeholders on a regular basis. They will drive innovation in Lenovo’s ESG communications and reporting and help ensure Lenovo’s continued success in external surveys and assessments.
The ESG Reporting Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end projects, within budget, on schedule, and adhering to the high-quality standards set by the Global ESG Team. Projects and deliverables include:
· Develop ESG content to support HKEX ESG and GRI requirements. This role will be the Lenovo subject matter expert on the ESG requirements of the HKEX.
· Manage materiality assessment process for ESG Report.
· Create ESG Newsletter for Board of Directors
· Develop ESG content to support investor relations and executive presentations
· Project manage responses to key ESG surveys including the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index and others; drive improvements in Lenovo’s responses to stakeholder ESG surveys.
· Manage Lenovo’s Communication on Progress for the UN Global Compact
· Support ESG content for Lenovo’s website, social media, customer responses, etc.
· Review ESG claims and disclosures by Lenovo’s product teams and others with a focus on accuracy and avoidance of greenwashing
· Manage assurance process for key ESG deliverables while maintaining schedules
· Benchmark to drive innovation and enhancements. Conduct regular benchmarking for core deliverables and identify and implement enhancements to ensure deliverables meet team’s needs and standards. Understand and respond to requirements and trends in the ESG communications area (GRI standards, anti-greenwashing requirements, ESG reporting requirements, innovative ways of communicating information, etc.).
· Coordinate with other functional areas including geographies, Investor Relations, Communications to support accurate and timely ESG communications
· Create and maintain detailed schedules in conjunction with ESG related Subject Matter Experts and other functional areas such as Communications, Investor Relations, and others
· Support additional ESG projects and teams as needed
Basic Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Five years of ESG or related project management experience demonstrating successful management of projects from kick-off to completion and an innovative and effective approach to communicating and reporting
· Experience with GRI, TCFD, Hong Kong Exchange or other exchange ESG Reporting requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience responding to ESG surveys such as S&P, MSCI, Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index or others
· Familiarity with UN Global Compact Communication on Progress requirements
· Experience with executive reporting and supporting investor ESG communications
· Experience working with multiple stakeholders across global teams
· Expert project management skills level and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
· An interest in ESG and an understanding of the various stakeholders, concerns, and impacts related to this discipline
**We are open to this position being worked remote in the United States.**
The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada and Washington, is $115K - $125K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
