Description and Requirements

We are looking for an Industry Marketing Manager for the education vertical, to join the Industry Solutions unit within Lenovo's Solutions and Services Group (SSG).

Lenovo is strategically focused on working with partners and customers in the retail & manufacture vertical, optimizing the  operation with a nimble infrastructure and strong Analytics support. With the world’s widest portfolio of technology products, we deliver our vision of Smarter Technology for All through products, solutions, and services that individuals, communities, businesses, and entire populations need to fulfill their potential.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create and lead the overall marketing strategy plan for the  Education Vertical
  • Define the value proposition for Lenovo’s  existing and new solution portfolio
  • Continuously position the solution portfolio in alignment with market demands and relevant business needs
  • Partner closely with the solutions offering management team to implement the go-to-market strategy across direct and indirect sales channels around the world
  • Collaborate and guide our global sales and marketing teams with effective customer facing marketing and sales enablement aimed to position Lenovo as a strategic for retail customer’s digital transformation
  • Lead industry awareness plans to raise visibility and relevance of Lenovo in the retail & manufacture vertical, participating in relevant industry events, engaging with key industry analysts and press, leading web and social activity, and developing customer references.
  • Represents the voice of the customer before, during and after launch of retail solutions to drive solution adoption and advocacy

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with content creation and go-to-market strategy and planning
  • Industry knowledge of the  Education Vertical and marketing strategies, particularly on the solution and services side.
  • Strong storytelling, writing and presentation skills engaging with multiple internal, external audiences and influencers
  • Digital marketing vehicles and innovation

Preferred Experience:

  •  Demonstrated track record of successful go-to-market strategy development
  •  Enterprise software and solutions knowledge and experience
  • B2B marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Channel, distribution and technology  experience                                            
  • Solution sales training methodologies 
  • Knowledge of Marketing measurement and testing disciplines
  • Understanding of marketing and CRM technology; to and through so that the channel can be enabled and empowered
  • Understanding of Marketing and customer databases
  • Experience wirh teporting and analysis tools
  • Website/eCommerce strategy and execution
  • Sales management - setting budgets, revenue goals and quotas
  • Pricing strategy, promotional development and execution
