Description and Requirements

Summary

  • This person will be working with the group Open Source Compliance team to ensure products are open source compliant. This role will focus on license compliance. You will also promote Engineering Standards and best practice to the whole community including developers, PM, BA, etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Run open source compliance program to integrate to the group level Open Source Compliance review
  • Pre-review to ensure only compliance products are handed to group level review
  • Support product teams on open source compliance pre-scan and suggest rectification solutions
  • Open source compliance program process optimization
  • Promotion, training and education of open source compliance knowledge, process and best practices
  • Promote other SW engineering initiatives and drive engineering standard adoptions
  • Build relationships with group level Open Source Compliance team and product teams. Encourage collaboration and promote engineering culture
  • Complete other related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or similar field; or equivalent experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in open source license compliance, with an understanding of different open source license types and the ability to communicate to the engineering community the applicability of each.
  • Knowledge of SDLC process and tools, including Agile, DevOps,
  • Comfort and experience engaging with both in-person and virtual teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to synthesize complex data sets and take action
  • Ability and willingness to work across time zones


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A deep understanding of the open source community's history, principles, and standard methodologies
  • Hand on experience in large scale SW project delivery/project management
