Who You'll Work With

At Lenovo, we manufacture one of the world's widest portfolios of connected products, including PCs (ThinkPad, Yoga, Lenovo Legion), tablets, smartphones, and workstations, as well as augmented and virtual reality (Mirage, ThinkReality), smart home/office solutions, software, and services. Lenovo's data center solutions (ThinkSystem, ThinkAgile) are creating the capacity and computing power for the connections that are changing business and society.

What You'll Do

You will be part of Lenovo’s Personal Computing and Smart Device Technology Office, which is a centralized team responsible for applied research, advanced technology, and architecture, supporting Lenovo’s devices and software businesses. We focus on delivering industry leading devices and rapidly expanding into services and solutions. 


We’re looking for a software architect to work with different device engineering teams to define and implement a common framework for device collaboration. The framework will create common API’s, user interface, and user experiences allowing application creators to create a single solution that works across multiple devices that span Windows PC, Android Smart Phones, and tablets. 


We want someone who has a strong passion to deliver high-quality products and solve challenging technical real-world problems. You can make a difference by working with cross-functional teams including system design, client software, HW design and driver teams. 



Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: 
  • Analyze collaborative offerings from Lenovo and industry partners 
  • Develop a common framework structure and define interfaces 
  • Drive adoption within Lenovo’s development organization 
  • Work with partners to enable single solutions that work across devices and operating systems 
  • Maintain focus on security, privacy, and software best-practices 



Basic Qualifications 

  • Degree in science and technology majoring in, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field 
  • 7+ years overall experience in tech space 
  • 5+ years' experience with client/cloud Windows or Android software solutions 
  • Strong software computer architecture knowledge for both local and cloud instances 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 


Preferred Qualifications 
  • Cloud and local security experience 
  • Experience working with Android devices 
  • Strong ability to influence across a global organization

The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada, and Washington, is $165,000 - 180,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
