Technical Pre-Sales Specialist (Workstations)
Are you a fresh graduate looking to join a multinational technology giant? Do you have technical knowledge and want to expand it, working with top of the range Lenovo products and solutions?
If your answer is yes, then this might be a fantastic opportunity for you!
You’d be joining our pre-sales team in Glasgow, where you’ll get experience in providing pre-sales technical support to our channel teams across EMEA for our workstation business in our Intelligent Device Group. In this role you will support our channel teams to answer technical questions on Workstation products and build technical configuration using Lenovo configurators.
This is a Workstation specialist role where you will support requests for both laptop and desktop products, as such you’ll need to have some knowledge and be interested in computer architecture.
You will report to our Technical Sales Manager based in Glasgow as well.
What will be your other tasks once you join us? (Your responsibilities)
- Assist in providing technical pre-sales support to our specialised Lenovo Business Partners.
- Proactively promote our technical services to new/existing partners.
- Help with producing technical outputs such as sizing’s, RFP responses and configurations to meet client requirements.
- Become a trusted advisor ensuring that Lenovo proposes robust and industry leading solutions.
- Help with the creation of technical documentation such as product overviews, hints and tips, blog posts.
What do we expect from you? (Position requirements)
- Fresh graduates: BSc. Or MSc. in IT, Engineering or any other discipline with a focus on technology or college course (HND or similar), we will also consider applicants with relevant work experience.
- Interest and motivation working in a technical pre-sales environment.
- Technical knowledge of PC architecture and solution design.
- Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice to have but not mandatory: French, Spanish, German or another major European language.
- Eligibility to work full time in UK.
- Fluent English.
