What we’re looking for…

Lenovo is expanding its already strong HPC/AI team to lead the Intelligence Transformation by making High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions accessible for all,  deploy – from the largest supercomputer customers in the world, to enterprises just getting started on their Transformation journey. To achieve our mission, we are seeking a results-oriented and innovative Product Manager to help us execute our mission. This high impact role requires a combination of technical knowledge of the HPC and AI marketplace and technology along with strong business acumen in understanding client needs.  The right candidate for this newly created role will be responsible for understanding client use-cases and requirements, helping execute customer PoCs (Proof-of-Concepts)  and working with the cross segment teams to bring leadership products and solutions to market.   

Key responsibilities

  • Support customer discussions in collaboration with the Lenovo Innovation Centers and Account Managers to understand needs and pain-points in developing and deploying HPC and AI solutions.Work closely with our cross functional teams to build and maintain a leadership strategy and roadmap of OVE/OVX products and services that exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide OVE/OVX based solution blueprints by combining compute, storage, networking, SW and services to meet client demands from early prototyping to full implementation while accounting for future growth.
  • Deliver comprehensive solutions that deliver a positive ROI utilizing all the assets that Lenovo offers across its diverse portfolio.
  • Provide direct engagement with our geography and One Lenovo sales managers, technical sellers and account teams helping them identifying and qualifying opportunities.
  • Engage with partners on product and solution capabilities to create unique offerings.
  • Validate the value proposition of current offerings through customer engagement, make suggestions for improvements and drive execution.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with IT managers, BU personnel to senior management.
  • Assist with Product Marketing activity including event support, sales enablement content, disclosures and solution briefs as it relates to the HPC & AI portfolio.
  • Work with Lenovo Innovation Centers to enable and support customer proof of concept engagements
  • Quantitative
    • In the following quarter of being onboarded, employee will deliver an introduction pkg to the field. This pkg will contain the following;
      • Introduction of OmniVerse products with Lenovo
        • Why Lenovo and NVIDIA
        • Company verticals most likely to adopt
        • Who within companies should conversations initially happen
        • Events such as a Joint Development announcement, acquisition, merger, new CIO, New SVP of development, that open up an opportunity
        • Opening examples of a conversation
        • Who to contact for help with your customer
        • This will be produced via ppt, video and Video introductions to all Geos
      • With each win, individual will request a reference, quote and whitepaper from customer
      • Individual will meet weekly with both internal partners and NVIDIA to drive collaboration and alignment
      • Individual will contribute to the monthly ecosystem newsletter on content (1 contribution)
      • Individual will contribute and participate in Lenovo EBC briefings when appropriate (goal 3 per month)
    • Individual will ensure all SKU’s are up to date and represented in the Lenovo system (working with our Operations person within the org)
    • Will develop a Deployment Ready Solution (DRS) for NVIDIA Omniverse within the configurator
    • 3 lighthouse wins this year will be achieved with the team

What you need.

In order to be considered for the role, you must possess the following basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable degree
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in delivering IT solutions in a customer centric role.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The ideal candidate will possess the following preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience in HPC and AI technologies, solutions, applications and open source software with a strong understand of compute, storage and interconnects.
  • Ability to grasp fast changing developments and how they can impact customers
  • Innovative and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Action-oriented and able to work independently with clear priorities in a matrix organization
  • Superior knowledge of HPC and AI technologies, market trends, competition, sales strategies and partner landscape.
  • Good presentation skills to speak at conferences, public events and conduct media interviews
  • Prior experience working with global customers and technology partners
  • Previous experience in a product marketing or technical marketing role with experience developing value props, personas and target markets.
  • Experience bringing new products to market, establishing product/market fit.
