Description and Requirements

At Lenovo we strive to do things differently so that we can consistently become better—for our customers, our employees, the communities where we do business, and the environment.      An important part of that strategy is our Asset Recovery Service Offering for sustainable and environmental End of Life management of IT hardware. The Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Asset Sustainability Service Designer will play an important role in driving the growth of this offering globally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get in at the start of a relatively new and growing business area, to help establish new processes and to shape the future direction of an organization.   Multiple positions are available and we are looking to fill positions within EMEA, North America and Asia Pacific.   Applicants from any region will be considered who are located within working distance of a Lenovo Office.   Applicants will be expected to be able to work in a hybrid model of remote and office working with some customer and vendor travel

You will have responsibility for the end-to-end solutioning of Asset Recovery Service (ITAD) Deals, working with Lenovo Hardware and Service Sellers, Vendors, Project Managers and other stakeholders to provide attractive and creative solutions to our customer and partners.    Critical success will be  through managing effective communication between all parties involved in the deal and the suitability and accuracy of the final solution against expectation.   Customer satisfaction with the delivered solution will be a key metric.

Organization 

You will report to the GSC Operations Sr Manager 

The successful candidate will work in close coordination with our regional and global teams and our vendor network on activities to:

  • Manage solutioning stages of Asset Recovery Deals and ITAD opportunities within the Lenovo ISG Organisation
  • Manage and coordinate solutioning activity across Internal and External business groups, acting as the focal point with Sales teams on individual deals
  • Coordinate activity with other members of ‘One Lenovo’ Asset Recovery Team
  • Identify Process and Offering Improvements
  • Work with Vendors and Sales Teams to ensure winning solutions are proposed from both a pricing and solutioning perspective
  • Position Asset Recovery Services within other Lenovo Sustainability Services and Value Recovery Services for Customers and Sellers.

Role Requirements

  • University degree.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of the ITAD (IT Asset Disposal) industry (4+ years’ experience in business related activities e.g. technical solutioning, operations management, sales support, process communications)
  • Technical familiarity with Datacentre environments
  • External Vendor Relationship Management experience would be a strong advantage
  • Proven support to the success of sales engagements.A winning mentality and approach to Deals
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Demonstrable success working in a multicultural, multinational environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written) in English language, any other language is an advantage.
  • Experience of creating and delivering internal and external communication and education
  • Mature personality, able to work independently, strong sense of customer service
  • A demonstrated ability and continuing desire to work under pressure, and aggressively attack tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks, tracking and updating opportunities correctly.
  • Good working knowledge of standard business application
