Description and Requirements



In this role, you will be responsible for the provision, maintaining, and optimizing new and existing elements in a Linux-based, virtualized, microservices infrastructure: 

  • Virtualized Environment (KVM hypervisor, Open stack)
  • Microservices Environment (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Operating System (Ubuntu Linux)
  • Security assessments (Scan for vulnerabilities, patch servers)
  • Act as a subject matter expert for proposed architectural designs.
  • Write infrastructure-related code when needed (Python, Linux Shell, Perl)


Skills required:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • B. S/M.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Around 5 years of previous experience with provisioning, maintaining and administering Ubuntu Linux
  • Experience with provisioning, optimizing, maintaining, and monitoring an Open stack environment employing KVM Hypervisors
  • A strong foundation in Ethernet networking and TCP/IP
  • Knowledge and understanding of security
  • Knowledge of hardware and virtualized environment monitoring solutions
  • Excellent communication skills - Able to work with remote teams across cultures and foster trust and collaboration


Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with provisioning, optimizing, maintaining, and monitoring a Kubernetes environment implementing the Docker/ container runtime
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins build and deployment scripts
  • Experience in software development using one or more general-purpose programming languages including, but not limited to Python, Linux Shell, Perl, etc.

In this position, you will be part of a global team and report to the local SystemCare Program Manager.
