As a Forecasting, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst you will join Motorola Mobility, based in Chineham Basingstoke, just 45 minutes on the train from London or 16 minutes from Reading working within the UK finance team in the finance HQ for Europe. You will be supporting the Go-To-Market teams who work directly with sales & marketing and have frequent exposure to the European Senior Leadership Team (SLT). We are looking for an individual happy to work in a fast paced, varied and highly interactive role, who will: 
 

  • Support all requirements for forecasting & reporting of financial information for Europe region
  • Gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts.
  • Create clear and concise reports to answer key data driven questions related to European performance
  • Own the monthly “Mx” forecasting process, attending territory strategy meetings, consolidating financial submissions, building data into an “easy to use” summary for SLT review and managing the system submission to Global Finance.
  • Involvement in the annual Winter Planning exercise, building excel models to support data submission and analysis
  • Control, check and review the creation of the month end close report to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in Month end & Sales analysis and review.
  • Expectation that the role will develop in the short/mid term to encompass review and control of operating expenses and Advertising and Promotional budgets, including developing a suite of reports for the territory teams and analysis of actuals vs budget and ownership of Anaplan.
  • Drive process enhancements and efficiency improvements including projects to develop the use of tableau and other reporting packages
  • Liaise with Credit, AR and Accounting functions to provide support to the Go-to-market team and some involvement in adhoc and priority customer claim resolution
  • Tracking pricing against regional guidance and supporting forecast processes

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales & Marketing Structure from a Finance stand point.
  • Developing professional expertise, apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Gathers data and prepares reports and spreadsheets.
  • Provides well-informed observations, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Supports Accounting month-end closing activities.


You will: 
Hold a relevant undergraduate degree (minimum)

Ideally be part CIMA / ACCA qualified
Have 3+ years’ experience of working within a finance department, ideally within a large matrix organisation 
Have strong IT / Excel skills
Have excellent communication skills, ready to interact with a number of stakeholders at all different levels 

Be a proactive, self starter with a motivation for problem solving
Be an individual with an analytical mindset and a great attention to detail
