Description and Requirements

About Our Team

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking a mechanical engineer to support our rack solution team.

What You’ll Do

·       Co-work with the rack solution team to do the rack sizing and definition

  • Perform L11 rack system review, issue debug and provide solutions
  • BS or MS in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with rack and server products
  • Good communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work with global cross-functional teams

·       Provide assembly guidance to factory and internal team for product assembly

·       Assist shock & vibration engineer to perform the shock & vibration test

·       Perform sever product system layout, architecture evaluation

·       Create mechanical 3D/2D drawings for rack or server products

·       Perform tolerance analysis

·       BOM and EC management

·       Work with customers closely to understand customer’s requirement and concerns, and provide solid solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, die cutting, CNC)      
  •  6 years+ server and storage mechanical design experience is required
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Experience with 2D and 3D modeling tools (ie. Creo Parametric)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with rack and server products
  • Good communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work with global cross functional teams
