Position Description:

Lenovo seeks a dynamic Microsoft Azure Enterprise Architect for the Hybrid Cloud Practice. The ideal candidate will successfully lead and develop new enterprise cloud capabilities or service offerings for emerging technologies within hybrid multi-cloud environments. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) services and proven success in large enterprise hybrid multi-cloud deployments (USD 10M+ programs). The ideal candidate will have the demonstratable ability to break down requirements and propose appropriate architectures and solutions. Additionally, this role will support pursuit/capture efforts through developing cloud technical solutions, proposals, and white papers and provide thought leadership in developing new Lenovo hybrid cloud capabilities or offerings.

The chosen candidate will be part of Lenovo Solutions & Services Group (SSG) as a member of the Center of Excellence team, driving service offering design and definition for our Professional Services, Managed Services, and TruScale Services businesses.

• This role is primarily internal but includes some customer-facing work.
• This is a remote-only role.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development of new capabilities or service offerings within AI-enabled Cloud Operations, Cloud FinOps, Containers/Kubernetes, and Cloud Automation (IaC, DevSecOps integration) with an Anything as a Services (XaaS) approach
• Technical lead and subject matter expert for Azure IaaS, serverless, Data, Kubernetes, and microservices offerings.
• Excellent ability to communicate technical solution concepts through the development of white papers, responses to requests for information, engagement with communities of practice, and technical proposals
• Balance workloads and deliverables for multiple pursuit opportunities simultaneously.
• Be a thought leader with experience continuously updating and maintaining knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and their supported, successful technology stack integrations
• Review RFPs to ensure the pursuit team addressed requirements and incorporated win themes, created, developed, designed, and distributed draft response documents for assigned sections, and was responsible for all edits, finalizing and coordinating the delivery of designated proposal sections.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years with BS/BA or 10+ years with MS/MA/Ph.D.

• 7-10 years of cloud solution architecture experience in hybrid, multi-cloud enterprise environments.
• 5-7 years of experience developing solutions with containers/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• 6+ years of experience in Cloud Migration and Cloud Database Services.
• 5+ years of technical proposal development experience.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Synapse or Databricks
• Experience with SOC1, SOC2, Federal Government regulations and compliance, including FedRAMP and TIC 2.2/3.0
• Experience with authentication and authorization, Identity management, and Cryptography, including PKI/HSPD-12
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture patterns and standards, API, and other integration technologies and standards
• Ability to work alongside multiple business partners to develop and refine user stories and implement the technical solutions to the user stories set across many cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile project management within Jira and Confluence.
• Market experience in one or more of the following: financial services, telecommunications, industrial manufacturing, energy, consumer products, high-tech, media & entertainment, and automotive
• Experience in the definition, scoping, selling, delivery, and management of cloud infrastructure migration, implementation, operations, and optimization initiatives
• Enterprise IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure hardware and application software development, operations, DevOps engineering, or systems architecture.
• Experience with Enterprise and Cloud Products and Solutions such as Microsoft Azure/Azure Stack Family and SQL products, VMware Cloud Foundation, AWS/AWS Outposts, Google Cloud Anthos, Red Hat RHEL/OpenShift, IBM CloudPaks, SAP, Oracle.
• Virtualization and Container Orchestration (ex. VMWare ESXi and VSAN, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, RedHat Openshift, Kubernetes).
• Software Defined Network (SDN) and Storage (SDS) technologies.
• TOGAF 9 Certified, TOGAF Business Architecture preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
