Description and Requirements

Lenovo has an opportunity for an Environmental Affairs Advisory Engineer. You’ll work under GSC Quality Standard & Environmental Engineering team to conduct life-cycle assessment and product carbon footprint tech project with other cross-function teams & suppliers to achieve the environmental targets and meet business requirements. 

Responsibilities:
•    Implement and conduct product life-cycle assessment in collaboration with different function teams and support business requirements.
•    Evaluate and analysis products’ environmental performances and drive eco-design progress to reduce negative environmental impacts and make progress to greener products, such as reducing product carbon footprints etc.
•    Calculate and study the product carbon footprint based on LCA methodology for reducing carbon emissions and reaching corporate targets.
•    Contribute to the green digital transformation of product level around LCA, Product carbon footprint etc..
•    Engage with external associations and institutions to identify opportunities to expand Lenovo’s green influences.

Qualifications:
•    Education& Experiences: Bachelor/Master’s degree in Materials, Environmental Engineering/Science, Chemical, Sustainability or related field and advanced degree is a plus.
•    5+ years of professional working experience in industry and/or consulting firms.
•    Rich engineering experiences in leading or operating LCA projects, including but not limited to software operation, ICT product evaluation and product eco-design.
•    Solid understanding of life-cycle assessment for methodology, standards, tools and supply chain collaboration.
•    Have experience collaborating with supply chain for data collection and verification. 
•    Rich project management experience and be able to run and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales.
•    Have experience working in cross-functional teams and internal & external stakeholders.
