Description and Requirements

  • Lenovo Data Center Group is currently seeking a senior QA engineer / software development engineer in test (SDET) for our Lenovo private cloud platform Atlas Project
    This role will participate in driving quality aspects of worldwide private cloud platform to compete with cloud offerings from VMware, Nutanix, Amazon and Microsoft. This individual is an engineer or tester which strong coding skills who is passionate about software quality.  This role provides the opportunity to inject quality throughout the entire development lifecyle, through designing, creating and improving an automated test harness and test suites integrated into our CI/CD process. 
    This is a software development position in a highly collaborative environment working directly with Development, QA, Operations and Product Management teams across geographies.
    Position Requirements
    •    B.S./M.S in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with programming skills/experience) or Computer Science (with hardware skills/experience) or equivalent practical experience.
    •    Experience testing and shipping commercial SW product or developing and supporting commercial SaaS platform
            8 to 14 years of experience in software test development Proficiency with , Java, Python,Cypress 
    •    Experience with designing, building, and improving automated test cases
    •    Experience with Python, Java,Cypress automation 
    •    Experience with load and stress testing tools and methodologies
    •    Experience with Storage , Server , data center with backend testing experience 
            Knowledge on Dockers , Kubernates , mocroservice is added advantage 
    •    Excellent communications skills – able to work with teams across cultures fostering trust and collaboration. Comfortable presenting to large groups and executives.
    •    Must be able to attend frequent meetings outside of standard working hours, to accommodate teams in other time zones.
    •    Excellent English speaking and writing skills
    •    Investigation and debugging skills
     Nice to Have
    •    CI/CD experience including use of Git, Gerrit and Jenkins or other similar CI/CD tools and platforms
    •    Familiarity with n-tier architecture, programming (OO) and design patterns
    •    Exposure to C, C++ and Java
    •    Previous experience deploying cloud services
    •    OpenStack, VMWare vCloud or SDDS, AWS, Azure experience highly desired
    •    Cloud API usage test experience
    •    RESTful API usage and test experience
    •    Understanding of Cloud Security
