Description and Requirements

[Job Title] Autonomous Driving Compute Engineering Director

Reports To: Head of Vehicle Computing Lab

Job Overview: Lead Autonomous Driving/ADAS compute related technology assessment, project execution and team management to achieve engineering and business excellence

Responsibilities and Duties:

 List the essential duties required to carry out this job.

  1. Take part in building Autonomous Driving/ADAS related technology roadmap and product line definition
  2. Engage with key customers to better understand market needs and better customer satisfaction
  3. Manage Autonomous Driving Compute design team to design & develop competitive products on schedule, on quality and on cost
  4. Guide multiple function design teams (HW, SW, Mechanical, Testing) to build technical competency and process excellence
  5. Partner with supply chain & manufacture teams to ensure product competitiveness, secure smooth New Product Introduction and continuous mass production

Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years’ engineering experience, with bachelor or above degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, automation, computer science or related majors
  2. 5+ years Tier-1 or OEM working experience, and being familiarity with International & China OEM process, product and DVP&R requirements
  3. Being an expert in 2 out 5 products from both technical & business perspectives: ADAS/AD domain controller, Infotainment, Gateway, Central Compute, Zonal Controller
  4. Good understanding of project management and engineering resource management
  5. Expertise and hands on experience in EE, ME, SW and test/validation
  6. Demonstrated success record of bringing complex systems from concept to mass production
  7. Working knowledge of EE, RF, mechanical & software design & simulation technology, e.g. circuit simulation, WCCA, EMC simulation, thermal & FEA simulation; good understanding of automotive design process & technical requirement, like Functional Safety, DFMEA, ASPICE…
  8. Work in a self-motivating way and autonomously find correct direction to solve problems
  9. High level of oral and written communication skills, both Chinese & English
  10. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, supplier & other stake holders
