Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a highly motivated, full-time SSG Automation Specialist/ Engineer. The ideal candidate would be reliable, personable, and team-oriented with drive to take on new responsibilities and embrace emerging technologies. This individual will work with key stakeholders across services sales distribution business units to identify business questions that can be answered with data. You will leverage in-house data management tools, to prepare data set which to be consumed by dashboard development team.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document and implement end-to-end data pipelines and data integration processes, both batch and real-time. This includes data analysis, data profiling, data cleansing, data lineage, data mapping, data transformation, development of ETL / ELT jobs and workflows, and deployment of data solutions.
  • Monitor, recommend, develop, and implement ways to improve data quality including reliability, efficiency, and cleanliness, and optimize and fine-tune ETL / ELT processes.
  • Develop Stored Procedure, and Advance SQL Join/Partitioning to clean and prepare business dimension and transaction data table.
  • Recommend, execute, and deliver best practices in data management and data lifecycle processes, including modular development of ETL / ELT processes, coding and configuration standards, error handling and notification standards, auditing standards, and data archival standards.
  • Work on multiple data sources such as SQL Table, Excel, CSV, etc.
  • Ensure development adhere to guidelines and governance policies on data and business intelligence platform.
  • Collaborate with SSG team members and internal business stakeholders, to understand data needs, gather requirements and implement data solutions to deliver business goals.
  • BAU support for any data issues and change requests documents all investigations, findings, recommendations, and resolutions.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Up to 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced skill in SQL (T-SQL or PL-SQL) with hands-on experience in creating stored procedures, functions, common table expression, partitioning and complex join.
  • Experience with ELT in the Machine Learning area is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, Qlik Sense or similar BI client tools.
  • Experience with various ETL/ELT frameworks, data warehousing concepts, data management frameworks and data lifecycle processes.
