Description and Requirements

Lenovo is the leader in the global PC market and is seeking a scrum master with a strong software engineering background to contribute to our growing ThinkSmart line of collaboration software and devices. 
Our agile teams build a software solution that spans from the cloud to the device,touching all levels of the software stack.
The Scrum Master position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about building complex and robust software and has experience navigating scrum teams through complexity to produce high quality software.

■Roles and responsibilities
• Lead local scrum ceremonies, including daily scrum for local and remote team members
• Communicate and align with other scrum teams, 
  represent local team in scrum of scrum ceremonies, including planning,
  reviews, and retrospectives
• Help product owner create clear, concise, and complete stories
• Develop and groom backlog
• Identify external dependencies and ensure they are captured in stories and prioritized
• Perform initial analysis of new requirements and determine resources required
• Act as developer advocate and remove barriers to development
• Coach members on scrum framework and principles
• Liaison between software team and other Lenovo-internal teams 
  - hardware team, quality assurance team, user experience team, preload team, and OS team
• Liaison between software team and external suppliers regarding feature requests, deliverables, and schedules
• Facilitate compliance activities for each release
  (architecture review, design review, security review, open-source review)
• Help with release activities, including finalizing list of features/fixes to provide to release manager
• Present status to managers

Requirements - Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
- 10+ years of software engineering work experience
- 2+ years of experience as a scrum master
- Experience in developing complex software that has been successfully released to customers

Requirements - Good to Have
- Scrum master certification (e.g. Professional Scrum Master or equivalent)
- Experience with agile collaboration software such as JIRA or GitHub
- Experience developing device management software
- Experience working in international teams
