Description and Requirements
We are searching for an IT Network Engineer to support all Network Services at Data Centers, Offices, Product Development, and Engineering as well as Manufacturing Plants worldwide.
We are looking for candidates that can work in a Hybrid model, working from home to support worldwide Motorola and Lenovo locations as well as being on-site to our Office/Datacenter locations mainly in Raleigh, NC and/or Chicago, IL area.
The professional will work on a large corporation integrated into a multi-cultural and worldwide distributed team with interaction with IT and Business staff as well as direct contact and coordination of activities with other Internal teams and External Telecommunication companies.
They will also participate in the design and development of new networking projects, including data center and campus network designs, upgrades, and implementation and operations.
Basic Qualifications
- 7 or more years of Network Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or a related degree, or equivalent education and work experience
- Strong knowledge of network and routing protocol. Such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VxLan/EVPN, STP,AAA etc.
- Experience with large enterprise networks. Such as data center fabric, Next-generation Firewall, Load balancer, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN , WAN, SD-WAN, WOC, and Cloud connections.
- MS Office applications and MS Visio
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of network troubleshooting in multi-vendor multi-cloud environments.
- Familiar with network monitoring and tools.
- Experience with large network vendor’s products, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Arista, Aruba, etc. Professional certification of one or more vendors
- Experience with capacity planning, high availability, disaster recovery, and network security.
- Mandarin is highly appreciated.
- Follow Change Management approval and Documentation processes and Company standards within the ITIL framework.
