Lenovo's Commercial Marketing organization is looking for an experienced Marketing Planner to join our global team. This position is one part business strategist, one part marketing strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering directly with the executive leadership team to translate our business priorities into optimal campaign strategies and plans. You will need experience in market research and insights, strategic thinking abilities, and a thorough understanding of business operations to be successful. Collaborating with the Marketing Insights team, you will focus on cultivating a deep, shared understanding of our customers to drive premium experiences and deliver on the organization’s solutions-focused transformation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and WW marketing stakeholders to develop an end-to-end understanding of our vision, objectives, and strategies
- Work with Market Insights to develop a deep understanding of target audience attributes, behaviors, motivations, and challenges
- Research competitive and market trends and dynamics to identify threats and opportunities
- Leverage business, market, and customer data to define commercial marketing strategies and plans to deliver against business and marketing objectives
- Communicate objectives and strategies throughout the organization to ensure strong alignment
- Meaningfully contribute to campaign planning and execution, supporting the team while looking to strengthen best practices and efficiencies across the business
- Engage with Marketing Operations to define the appropriate measures to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of our marketing strategies
Qualifications
Basic
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Marketing or a relevant field
- 10+ years of marketing experience
- 5+ years in dedicated strategic planning roles
- Experience building integrated go-to-market strategies and programs that deliver strong results
- Exceptional strategic and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in global communication standards
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with the ability to use influence to bring people together
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Preferred
- Experience in the hardware and/or technology industry is a plus
- Ability to translate business and customer data into actionable insights
- Excellent problem-solving skills: demonstrated ability to see a problem from various angles
- Ability to operate on a wide range of topics and projects at one time
