Who You'll Work With

What You'll Do

You will be part of Lenovo’s Personal Computing and Smart Device Technology Office, which is a centralized team responsible for applied research, advanced technology, and architecture, supporting Lenovo’s devices and software businesses. We focus on delivering industry leading devices and rapidly expanding into services and solutions. 

We’re looking for a software architect to help analyze and drive optimization of Windows on ARM (Advanced RISC Machines) PC system performance in collaborative computing working with key hardware and software partners.  Our goal is to innovate through the full stack and work closely with leading HW, SW, and application providers to provide highly optimized solutions running on Windows or ARM systems. A candidate with additional experience with  X86 systems is preferred. 

We want someone who has a strong passion to deliver high quality products and solve challenging technical real-world problems. You can make a difference by working with cross functional teams including system design, client software, HW design and driver teams to measure, analyze and help to optimize the performance at both system level and in algorithm pipelines. 


Responsibilities 

  • The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: 
  • Analyze system performance and potential optimizations 
  • Work hands-on with the solution that will run on Windows/ ARM systems 
  • Drive requirements to partners on improve performance  
  • Tune system/application performance and improve stability 
  • Maintain focus on security, privacy, and software best-practices 
  • Collaborate with design, software, and hardware teams  
  • Work hands on with the solution that will run on X86 systems 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Degree in science and technology majoring in, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in computer architecture 
  • 5+ years' experience with hardware or software system power and performance analysis and optimization 
  • Knowledge of ARM and Windows on ArmA architectures  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working with global teams of different disciplines  
  • Project management experience  
  • Knowledge of x86 and Windows architectures for both local and cloud instances.

The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada, and Washington, is $140,000 - 180,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
