Description and Requirements

The Software Product Manager is a key role in our Cloud Software team. We are seeking an experienced Software Product Owner with a proven record of leading and driving software products and solutions and a skilled Scrum practitioner with the ability to create innovative and differentiated solutions that will drive value for Lenovo and our customers.

In this role, you are chartered with anticipating the market, driving key innovative security solutions and applications strategy and delivery in the Commercial technology market. You are using Cloud, IoT, and AI software to create personalized and cognitive device experiences that are unique to Lenovo.

We are flexible with the location if you are in the US.
 

What you will be doing:

  • You will be the working with customers and stakeholders within the commercial segment to drive solutions that resonate with enterprise customers.
  • Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on hardware & software product synergies and marketing plans.
  • Strategize with product management and stakeholders on issues related to product requests, vision and overall business value and help drive the strategic & tactical product roadmap.
  • Own and drive the product roadmap; Help identify and document Use Cases and User Stories that will define product delivery priorities and timeline.
  • Own and drive product development by working closely with Scrum Master, Engineering Team and other stakeholders on product delivery in the Agile environment - ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development) based process.
  • Groom the product backlog of competing feature requests by evaluating the business value of each and prioritizing the work for engineering.  Constantly coordinate with Scrum Masters and engineering teams including sequencing into Sprints and ensuring that engineering is working on requests based on business priorities.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to ensure that prioritized solutions are delivered in a timely manner and within budget.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience of software product management experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with Agile methodology and scrum team experience.
  • Cloud-driven and cross-device (PC, mobile) software market.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise PC management best practices.
  • Prior experience with driving product strategy, building a business case, revenue model for a product and/or defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive product innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex software product definition and development with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities being executed by multiple teams.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience managing a SaaS based product.
  • Comfortable installing new applications on PCs and mobile devices to assess the competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical & business skills and ability to evaluate a mix of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to communicate and work with geographically dispersed team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Documentation and Presentation skills.
  • ATDD Product Ownership experience.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
