About Our Team
This is a friendly and dynamic team of about a dozen researchers and engineers with a diverse background and strong technical expertise. We incorporate converging technologies into both existing and new products that take us beyond today’s most advanced products: smartphones, tablets, PCs, and other electronic devices. We perform research and system integration of software and hardware to deliver exciting products utilizing artificial intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, context awareness, connectivity, authentication & security, as well as other relevant research areas.

What You’ll Do
You will join the Mobile Technology Innovation team in Lenovo Research, an advanced research and technology group within Lenovo at our USA headquarters outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. You will be working with a group of experienced colleagues on one or more research projects. You will participate in regular team meetings, brainstorming sessions, team building events, and other company activities. You will have opportunities to contribute to the business by solving technical problems with innovative ideas, trying out your ideas by writing and testing your code, filing patent applications, and making technical presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in CS, CE, EE or related field
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
  • Understand the design and use of data structures and algorithms
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in image attributes and processing techniques
  • Experience applying machine learning and deep learning to computer vision, image processing, natural language processing, or other area
  • Interest in photography or videography
  • Familiar with one or more development systems like Windows, Android, Linux, or real-time embedded
  • Show a passion for innovation!
