■ About Organization
This position is for a Senior Technologist in the Integrated Devices Group. Our Strategic Technology team is responsible for driving innovation in our smart device portfolio or notebooks, desktops, tablets, SmartOffice, and IoT Edge devices. We work internally across functions and business groups and externally with partners to propose solutions to real challenges our customers face, across a variety of technologies.
■ Roles and responsibilities
This position will be focused on architecting strategic technology inclusion across the hardware and software of critical subsystems including audio, video, and communications.
- Collaborate with internal & external sources to identify significant subsystem opportunities
- Create more flexible implementations to meet needs of technical risk, certification requirements, and overall user experience
- Architect implementation details, including creation of proof of concept prototypes as needed
- Communicate with broader technical and marketing teams to drive into our product roadmaps
- Hand off the technology to product development for successful implementation
◇Requirements◇
■Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical related discipline
- 5+ years of experience with PC technology development or integration
- Willingness to work across global boundaries with different cultures and time zones

■Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing proof of concept demonstrations
- Transitioning prototypes to production
- Understanding of PC architecture, Windows driver architecture, and/or PC audio, video, or communications subsystems.
- Proven innovation reflected in patent filings
- Excellent communication skills (oral, email, and presentation)
- While English is Lenovo’s primary language, any Mandarin or Japanese skills are a plus.
