Description and Requirements


A leader with a proven track record of building and driving high performing sales teams in the UK and Irish Markets.

S/he will have a proven record of successful second-level sales management experience within the technology hardware, software and solutions industry, with some exposure to high-volume sales. In addition, the successful candidate will have managed and developed teams of external field-based salespeople and internal sales responsible for PC hardware, services and peripherals sales within the UK and Ireland Enterprise Sector (Very Large Business 1000+) and Public Sector (Government, Healthcare and Education). In addition, demonstrate industry knowledge within sector verticals such as Finance, Retail, Legal, Construction, Energy, Technology, Central Government, Local Government, Healthcare and Education.

Work with the UK&I Managing Director and your Sales Managers to define and develop a go-to-market approach, creating annual and quarterly defined business plans around key metrics such as revenue, profit, services sales, quantity and market share.

Work closely with the Lenovo channel teams and Channel Director to ensure interlock between the end-user and channel partners. In addition, maintain a personal relationship with customers and Lenovo partners senior management, with a clear vision of customer and Lenovo's business unit strategies to develop trusted partner status for Lenovo.

Main responsibilities:
Following are the primary roles/responsibilities of the Enterprise & Public Sector Director;
• Manage the P&L and business sales cycle for the Enterprise & Public Sector division as part of Lenovo's standard planning cycles.
• Create, implement and be accountable for the defined targets at a team and account management level on a quarterly basis.
• Manages (end-user) customer relationships, primarily through the face to face sales team and close collaboration with the Lenovo channel team.
• Maintains senior executive relationships both with end users and channel partners.
• Lead weekly sales business planning and forecasting planning process. Being accountable for transparency and accuracy of planninging to UKI and EMEA stakeholders.
• Support the sales management and account management team on the larger end customer projects. Supporting on complex negotiations at a senior level both with end users and channel business partners.
• Enagilise and develop though leadership for Enterprise & Public Sector for Lenovo.
Main responsibilities:
Following are the people management and leadership responsibilities of the Enterprise & Public Sector Director;
• Demonstrate knowledge of senior sales leadership within a large sales company environment. Create fellowship amongst the team at all levels to drive towards a common, shared and agreed set of goals and ambitions.
• Ensures the whole team understand how their work contributes to Lenovo's strategy, market success and the overall objectives of the Enterprise & Public Sector team.
• Leads by example, sets clear performance standards, provides straightforward feedback respectfully, and actively manages low contributors to improve performance.
• Ensures a positive people-orientated performance climate through listening to employees, addressing their issues and helping employees succeed in Lenovo's matrix environment.
• Fosters teamwork, diversity and inclusion among all employees and the team.
• Continuously develops line reports and the wider team to build a mutual trust and team capability, setting clear development plans and goals.
• Follow a clearly defined coaching model to develop the wider team no matter of years of experience or seniority,

Environment:
• Applies a comprehensive understanding of sales processes and sales management techniques.
• Understands Lenovo's strategies, offerings and technologies and turn this into a tangible plan for the team.
• A willingness to travel on a regular basis across the UK & Irish markets to meet with end user customers and channel partners.
• Attend meetings and activities when required internationally to support explanation of business to senior management and attend end customer/channel conferences and events.
Communication/Negotiation:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• A highly competent public speaker can succinctly communicate Lenovo's strategy and vision.
• Skilled at dealing with complex negotiation scenarios through private sector and government tender processes.

• Clearly and simply defines problems, logically diagnoses causes, identifies solutions and creates action plans.

The ability to be operational and strategic in their business and sales management approach. Education And Experience Required:
• University or bachelor's degree and/or Masters in Business Administration is a minimum
• 5-10 years of sales management experience
• 10-15 years of relevant technology sector experience.
• Strong executive relationships within the Enterprise & Public Sector market both at and end user and business channel level.
• Demonstrate a clear track record of success in managing complex IT solutions to delivery and long-term retention with major customers in the UK & Irish markets.
