You are a self–motivated individual that demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, create technical definitions around customer objectives in complex situations, develop solution strategies, motivate, and mobilize resources, as well as deliver results.
The ThinkEdge Segment Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the ThinkEdge product family. He maintains close relationships with the market (customers, evaluators, and potentials) for awareness of market needs. This includes identification of appropriate markets and development of effective marketing strategies and tactics for reaching them. This person is involved through all stages of a product family’s lifecycle. Working closely with the director of portfolio management and the engineering department, he is gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
Key Responsibilities include
• Manage a small team of product manager
• Deliver MRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Work across all functional areas, gathering inputs, prioritize features and specifications, to work with portfolio manager to define the right product
• Conduct research as well as competitive analysis, delivering client presentations, preparing technical proposal
• Monitor the delivery process by working collaboratively with supply & services organizations to address all issues that may affect client satisfaction and Lenovo financial objectives
• Help to develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
• Set target cost to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Work with GEO product manager to train them and gather market data
• Work with product marketing to develop sales tools and collateral
• Act as a leader within the company
