Description and Requirements

We are hiring a recent college graduate to join our team as a Workflow Software Tooling Developer. This position is for a software developer to implement and maintain workflow tooling for our global product security lab of the Personal Computing & Smart Devices business unit. We use extensively customized installations of Jira and Confluence for our baseline ticketing and documentation environments. This role will be based in our Morrisville, NC. The target start date will be Spring/Summer 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Jira and Confluence tools
  • Implement changes to these tools to fix problems, improve team efficiency, and support PCSD’s business transformation
  • Integrate security tools with Jira and Confluence to automate the handling of security findings
  • Write scripts to improve the collection and reporting of security metrics

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Ability to program in one or more of Python, Java, PHP, C/C++

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Agile processes
  • Familiarity with git or other source control systems
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
  • A baseline cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as function as an integral part of a team, and take initiative and ownership in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully work across regions and functions to solve problems and get things done
