■Roles and responsibilities

Mandatory:

- Lead SW architecture development of conference call and meeting room device such as Microsoft Teams Rooms system and Zoom Rooms system

- Create SW technical plans, user stories, and SW specifications that engineers can use to develop products

- Define SW functional specification based on clear understanding of user requirements and needs, together with marketing team

- Architect SW stack of Windows/Android platform device to support the functional specification 

- Co-work with Lenovo audio engineer, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, industrial designer, to support the user experience

- Co-work with ODM partner to develop products to meet our requirement and specification

- Leads unit testing of software function and help assurance team to plan integration testing

- Sort out issues by suspected root cause area and engage appropriate members for debug, and give them advice for resolution

Optional (Potential future role) :

- Work with planning team to create end-to-end platform strategy, build product portfolio, technology roadmap and product architecture of both SW and HW

- Be responsibility for technology oversite of conference call system, including camera, audio, microphone, display, unified communication, AI, IoT and security

- Find and build technology partner relationship to deliver best of breed system with them

■Key Interaction with:

- Lenovo Smart Collaboration product HW development engineers (Electrical, Mechanical,Design software user experience, working with external development partners, from viewpoint of total user experience of productThermal, BIOS/EC, Subsystem) in Japan/China

- Lenovo marketing team in United States

- Lenovo user experience designer and industrial designer in United States

- External key partner, such as Microsoft, Zoom, Google, and Qualcomm

■Experience / Skills:

Mandatory:

- Over 3 years’ SW engineering experience in product development

- Deep knowledge about Unified Communication SW

- English communication in written and verbal

- Familiarity with Windows system design and Android system design

- Good at C/C++ program or other programming languages

Optional:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineer

- Familiarity with X86 and arm platform architecture

- Familiarity with camera and audio technology

- Have keen insight into business and new technology needs, and be able to lead team innovation
